The Hexagon© CMM Absolute Arm is a highly versatile metrology tool, capable of precisely scanning complex geometries and capturing accurate 3D data of parts in any orientation. Its portability and ergonomic design make it ideal for both laboratory and field use.
Beyond dimensional measurement (GD&T), the same arm can be integrated with PRAGMA’s advanced NDT sensors such as ultrasound or eddy current probes. This allows seamless transition from geometric inspection to defect detection, providing a unified solution for comprehensive quality control.
The arm can support a wide variety of sensors: touch probes, blue laser scanners, UT, PAUT, ECT, ECA, micro-topography, and more.
The encoded position is the absolute 3D/6DOF position on the part, regardless if the NDT probe is lifted temporarily.
Metrology-grade precision provides reliable point cloud of the digitized part and of the NDT data.
Simple wizard allows 3-point spatial calibration on your part, using the touch probe.

The CMM arm is like a Swiss Army knife. It’s possible to use a blue light laser to scan the part in 3D, then do NDT.
The best of both worlds: using a standard laptop for metrology scan (top), then performing NDT (bottom). Without disconnecting cables.
